Eugene Graf Receives Prestigious National
Building Industry Award

14, 2008 – The National Association of Home Builders
(NAHB) recognized Eugene “Gene” Graf III recently with
the “Grassroots Ambassador of the Year Award” for his
commitment to the home building industry.
Each year, NAHB honors individuals
and affiliate organizations for their support of
housing. Graf was one of 14 award recipients this year
across 11 categories.
“Gene has consistently stepped up to
the plate to help NAHB communicate its legislative
message to Montana’s federal legislators” said Granger
MacDonald, Vice Chairman of NAHB’s Federal Government
Affairs Committee. “He regularly meets with his
Congressional delegation back home in Montana, and packs
his bags on a moments notice to discuss pressing issues
like the economic stimulus package with legislators in
Washington, D.C.”
Graf
and his fellow recipients were honored publicly on May 1
at an awards breakfast held in conjunction with NAHB’s
Legislative Conference and Spring Board of Directors
meeting in Washington, D.C. The Grassroots Ambassador
of the Year Award is presented as part of the NAHB
Government Affairs Recognition Awards program, which
honors those who create housing opportunities and
promote home building.
